K9s Protected In Memory of Joseph L. Benson

My late father is the one seated in the wheelchair, the vests were donated in memory of my uncle. The first director of K9 training for the Boston police department. So Proud.

On Thursday, March 15, 2012 law enforcement agencies from Weare and Keene, NH paid tribute to the late Joseph L. Benson of Barnstable, MA.  during a K9 vest presentation at Regency Police Supply in Hyannis, MA. Vested Interest in K9s, Inc an East Taunton, MA nonprofit presented K9, Patriot of the Keene, NH police department and K9 26, of the Weare, NH  police department with bullet and stab protective vests donated by Richard Benson of Weymouth in memory of his late brother, Joseph, who passed away on April 16, 2011. 

Joseph L. Benson, was the first director of K9 training for the Boston Police Department   from 1962 until his retirement in 1974 and the former Vice President of the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) 1972-1974.
